Nicole Venter is on the Senior Academic Team at the International College of Management, Sydney (ICMS). She is Program Manager for the Bachelor of Business (Fashion and Global Brand Management) and the Bachelor of Business (Marketing).
As Program Manager, Ms Venter (née Battram) oversees the undergraduate degrees specialising in fashion and global brand management and marketing and works to: provide academic leadership; support faculty and students; direct learning and teaching; coordinate program delivery and oversee program effectiveness.
Ms Venter has lectured for many years across all fashion and marketing disciplines, with a particular interest in consumer behaviour, visual merchandising and retail brand strategy.
She started her career as a consumer experience consultant for IBM and then as a senior strategist for a boutique retail agency. Working in academia part time to help grow the market of retail specialist graduates for the booming international brands entering the sector post GFC.
Outside of academia where Nicole has worked across course development and program lead roles, she has also worked with many of Australia’s leading brands as a consumer experience strategy consultant. These include, but are not limited to; MYER, Qantas, Masterchef, GlueStore, Metcash, Dreamworld and many, many more as well as supporting new starter businesses and entrepreneurs entering the industry.
Nicole holds a Masters degree in Marketing from Macquarie University as well as a Bachelor in Commerce Marketing from Macquarie University.
